Is it legal to have led lights on a motorcycle in Indiana?

I've never found any regs on anything but red and blue, which aren't allowed to be seen from the front, but some of the guys I know here in northern Indiana with them have been pulled over. The only thing that happened was the cop made them turn them off. Just install a switch so you can turn them on and off.
