What could cause heightened heart rate and breathing in sleep?

My husband is always tired, even though he takes frequent naps. I've noticed that, while asleep, his heart races, as though he's just had a fright, and his breathing , likewise, is heightened to a frightening level. He is only 34, but has the energy levels of an old man. What could cause his heart to labour so? I know that this will impact his oxygen levels and therefore his energy, and could cause him to exhaust his heart.

I own and moderate 3 different groups of people who are not particularly computer literate. When someone changes their email address I can tell them how to change their group address themselves by going to 'edit membership' but they often have difficulty doing so. For some, it would be a lot simpler if they could tell me their new address and I could change it for them but there doesn't seem to be a mechanism for a moderator to do this. Broncos. The problem with the Panthers is offense. You can't win, if you can't score points. The defense for the Panthers is much better in comparison to the Broncos, but the Broncos at least have the ability to score points. I like what I have seen in Tim Tebow, the running game with Knoshown Moreno continues to be consistent, and the WR's are picking up the pace even after Brandon Marshall left. I think once the Broncos get rid of Kyle Orton, and give Tim Tebow more of a chance, the Broncos will be a better team. Some say Tim Tebow won't be any good. I disagree. He won't be an elite QB, but he has potential to be effective. But if there were a bowl between the Panthers and Broncos, Broncos would win just because they have an offense that can at least keep up with other teams. Afer sitting down and reading 'Stories to turn boys into men' and after having one of my insomniac nights were i just lie back and think until the morning. I realised the book brang up many good points. Modern man has changed in the last 50 years quite significantly. A man in the past would be raised to respect others, to earn others respect, put yourself before others and work harder to help others as well as being a brave and determined to accomplish the challenges at hand. These qualities created men such as the Spartans at Thermopylae, Julius Ceasar, Salahudin, Martin Luther King, Ned Kelly, William Wallace, Ghandi, Galileo are only a few more famous examples. I'm not saying that all men have lost these qualities, but fewer and fewer are being found. Boys are brought up these days to strive for their own success, to push competitors out of the way, to do what ever they want as long as their not to . This leads to men who if needed in a struggle would only walk away, concerned that he might ruin his new shoes or strain his back. I myself am not a 'real' man, I've spent my life trying to be better than everyone else, the only times I helped people was so that I would receive some sort of approval or benefit and unless my direct family or myself was placed in harms way, I would only try to ignore the problem. Not all men have become like this, it's just sad that fewer and fewer heroes are showing up and so it only makes me more determined to teach my son the qualities every boy should be taught to become a great man. I am a senior in my high school, and I am really going through a tough time right now. I met this girl at the beginning of the school year, and she is a freshman, and when we started to talk more ofter to each other, we got really close (I mean in a friendly way) and eventually I started to like her a lot. I found out that she had the same feeling for me and I asked her out on December 19, 2008, and we dated for a month until she broke up with me on January 20, 2009. Every day, all that comes to my mind is my ex-girlfriend, and that is all that I think about pretty much all the time. I am very depressed because we are no longer together, we don't talk to each other (we only talked twice since she broke up with me), and I am sad that our friendship is now not the same anymore. I really cared for her a lot, and I don't understand why she left me. She was my first girlfriend, and throughout the time we were dating, I always hugged her and cuddled with her, but I was just too afraid to hold her hand and kiss her because I did not know how to make the first move. The day that I was going to kiss her was the day that she broke up with me, and I am saddened that she left me. She told me that she was "emotionally unstable" and couldn't handle being in a relationship because she really viewed everyone as only a friend, but that is what really hurts me. I have never had back problems in my life and the other day I was shaving my legs and I put my leg on the rim of the bathtub and bent down to shave, everything was ok till I stood up. When I stood up straight after bending forward I fell to the ground and could not get back up. I had to go to the ER and when I got there they did a catscan and said all was fine but I was in such pain I couldent sit down at all so I stood for 9 hours untill they gave me morphine! The hospital that I went to is very close to my house but its a bad hospital and am worried its more then a pulled mussle. (The hospital has misdiagnosed me several times once I had pheumonia and they said I had bronchitis) Im taking Vicidan now but my lower back and still hurt badly. I used to go to the gym everyday and now I cant and I wonder when or if I can go back. Im so worried. Anyone know what this pain might be if not a disk? Silly girl! See a doctor. Food in the nose can actually grow right into the tissue. A friend of mine went to the doctor with a foul smelling constant discharge from her nose...come to find out it was a pea that she had stuck up there probably 20 or 30 years ago! It required minor surgery, since it had literally grown right into her nose. Fig Newtons are gooey and probably have spread and stuck all over your nose. You definitely need professional help!

I am a registered nurse. A friend of mines wife was diagnosed with CA about 2 years ago. They discovered about a month after finding she was pregnant. Fear of chemo on a fetus caused them to look into alternatives for treatment. They saw an herbalist and got into "juicing". Add to that major dietary changes and the herbs and supplements. The cancer at its worst was a "Stage 4" She now has a couple of small operable area to her now and her cancer markers on blood tests are dropping. I am a nurse so we all thought they were crazy to try this. Especially after delivering a healthy baby. Our thoughts were to go on chemo NOW. She has done no chemo or radiation. Anyone else have similar stories? I am not trying to sell anything and don;t want anything sold to me. Well it depends on the doctor. With my first baby I was told to stay for 3 days and the whole delivery went well I think that the longest. They will have you stay if every thing is well. With my second I was told I could go home the next day but if I wanted I could stay the whole 3 days I chose to go home the next day but I wish I would have stayed the 3 days. I had to go back to the hospital the second night any ways I was in so much pain. I am now 23 weeks and 6 days and this time if I am told I can go home the next day I am just going to stay I think its better anyways just to make sure every thing goes well.

Question about hypothroidism?

I've been tired, tired tired, for a long time --- perhaps something to do with menopause (which I've just gone through) but I also suspected I might have hypothyroidism. However, when I went to the doctor my levels were as follows: TSH: .88; T4: .8; T3: 103, so he said that hypothyroid wasn't my problem. But I didn't do the test in the morning, and I'm still wondering if I might be experiencing this. Does anyone know how to read those statistics? Is my T4 low? Should I retest first thing in the morning?

it always helped me to ign small values to the variables to work out the theory with numbers and then distribute in a way that makes the numeric answer correct. so if y is 2 and x is 3 i get an answer of 6(9^4) or 6*9*9*9*9. if you try to distribute this you will end up with a much larger number (36^24 if you distribute to the or 36^4 if not). so IMHO I don't think distributing in this case is a good idea at all.

Utorrent cant connect?

So Im in Australia right now and Ive been having a bit of trouble with the internet. First of all its a LAN connection. At first I was able to connect, but I couldnt get online. none of my browsers could load any pages but they could all get the site icons so i knew that it was connected and the internet worked and it was a browser problem. after playing with it for a bit i got it to work by clicking the auto detect proxy settings in firefox and by clicking "use a proxy server" in the LAN settings in internet options (im on windows 7 and chrome brings you to this page for its proxy settings) and i put the port on port 80 (default setting i thik). I tried to use utorrent but i cant connect to any peers at all (not that Im downloading anything illegal, haha). it cant find anything. Ive tried messing with the proxies in utorrent preferences but its not working at all. If anyone can help me, thatd be great.

I have a 55 gallon all-gl aquarium and the white rocks and white plants have some brown discoloration showing on them. It looks a lot like rust. It is also behind the heating tube on the gl. The tank inhabitants are 3 goldfish and a very large algea eater. I use a water condtioner along with a Tetra Whisper Powerfilter. Any ideas of what it is and how to get rid of it?

Hey everybody, so im first year university right taking 2x economics courses, calculus, and philosophy. I came into university wanting an economics degree(didnt think about it, just decided) so it was a rash decision. I always wanted to be a mechanic(am good at fixing cars, have made a lot of money restoring vintage cars) but just went to university because my parents wanted me to. My mom has been suggesting a couple of times that i go to a trades school to learn a trade because she knows im not really the kind of guy that likes studying. Fact is she doesnt know i wanna be a mechanic. Should I just come out and tell her? Also I am failing both my econs(missed a midterm), possibly failing math and doing good in philosophy. I just want one more semester at my current school to learn history(always loved it). What do you think I should do guys? I know it doesnt really matter that I fail all my courses because they dont count for trades school but I just feel bad about wasting money and not trying hard and all that.

Why does my boiler make banging noises, lose the pilot flame and drop pressure mively when switched on?

It is either the boiler pump at fault or the thermistor which is fitted on the flow pipe of the boiler. The banging is because the water in the boiler is not circulating, so the boiler is only heating the water contained in the boiler which is turning too steam which is causing the pipes to rapidly expand and cause a knocking noise. You are losing pressure because the water in the boiler is evaporating as steam.

My father needs a damper for the back boiler in our fire place, but he does not know the name of boiler.?

The fire place was closed up for a number of years with an electric fire and just recently my father has removed this and started to lite the coal fire again.There was originally an all night burner in the fire place but this was removed and disposed off, and so was the damper plate in the back boiler Now he just uses an ordinary fire grate and fret, which is fine but he needs a damper to control the draft which in turn controls the back boiler.The problem is, he doesn't know the name of the back boiler.Is there any way of finding a damper to suit this.The name DUNHILL is in his head but he is not sure of this, was there such a make of back boiler.Someone told me the boiler is probably a GRANT or a GERCROSS. Hi, I had dream about water snake(dark green colored). The situation is follows. I was looking at some fish, a snake, few crocodile around a shore of pond. The snake was going to eat a bird and after eating, it just jumped becoming bigger and ped by me and again went to water. The size was bigger than previous. Later when I stare at it, it started to come near me and I had to run, it became mive size and started chasing me. I had to run and i swim in water having plants covered by. I went to another side of pond quickly then I realised, its no longer chasing me then I came back to place where I was and can see my sister, mum around. I became more calm.

I am thinking about upgrading to windows 7 but i want to know what you people think of the operating system. I currently use Windows XP pro on my desktop and windows vista home basic on my laptop and frankly i am not crazy about windows Vista, it seems to buggy. that's why i never upgraded my desktop with vista, but since windows 7 came out I was thinking about upgrading my desktop to windows 7 but am a little weary about doing that. like is it good for gaming? will i still be able to use my other applications that i use on windows XP? Im 18 and don't plan on getting a credit card until im 19 or 20. This new law seems to make it harder for teenagers to get credit cards. Its good is some cases. But I will need to build credit by 20 and I was wondering how do i obtain a credit card. i know you may need a co signer. But i know if you have sufficient income you can get one. But my problem is what do they me my sufficient. I know it means I will need to prove thai I will be able to pay the bill on time. But my problem is what do they mean. I am starting a job at a grocery store for like 7.50 and hour. How can I kill the bacteria in the dirt from a compost?

I have a small compost pile that was in my backyard when I bought my house, its just dirt now so I've ignored it, but my German Shepherd has recently been getting GI infections and the most likely source I can find is the compost dirt, which he loves to stand in and poke his nose into. Yeah, I answered your question the other day, but this one seems better written. Look you're 31, get some help for yourself, your life is your own now, if it happened it happened. If it did happen you may never get your parents to acknowledge it and believe it. Besides what may have happened parents have a hard time dealing with the way that they may not of been good parents. I'm in a similar situation with my parents, you can't really get them to see things your way and/or if you do it is very painful for them. Everyone has some crap they carry from childhood, there is no such thing as a perfect parent, and some of us have experienced some bad stuff that is harder to move on from then what the average person has. You really need to see that you are way into adulthood, they will never see things how you have, get some help for yourself to get some answers for your life, and sorry to say move on. You make your life now, not your parents, do what you need to do for yourself like getting some help, and know you will likely never get them to understand and talk openly about what happened. It sounds like your talking about a BIOS pword, you can change the pword to blank and it will quit asking you for one when the computer boots. The trick to that is you have to enter BIOS using the supervisor pword, not the user pword.
