Does mixing a Pure Breed Lab with a mutt affect future litters?

My wife believes that if our lab is impregnated by a random non-lab that all future litters will be tainted, i dont think this is true but i cannot find any info on the net to disprove this to her liking.....so i have turned to yahoo :-D
